CADOTT, Wis. (WCFW) – A long-running music festival in rural Chippewa County is expecting record crowds this weekend.
Country Fest, which began in 1987, is expecting 100,000 people to attend at some point through this weekend.
Tickets for the event are a hot item, with all but general admission available on the eve of the event. Camping also sold out despite Chippewa Valley Music Festivals adding 500 new sites for this year, increasing the total to 7,500.
The event this year features headliners Jon Pardy, Dan + Shay, and the Zac Brown Band. Country Fest technically runs Thursday through Saturday, but 3-day ticketholders can attend performances Wednesday evening as well. Over 50 artists will perform on five stages during the event.
Other improvements for the venue include updated showers, roads, and its main video screen, as well as added water refill stations.
Country Fest was nominated for the Academy of Country Music Festival of the Year earlier this year.
General admission tickets are available at the gate. More information is available on the Country Fest website.
