MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – The University of Wisconsin’s athletics department is conducting a statewide scavenger hunt for the second straight year to promote its football program.
Hundreds of mini football helmets will be placed in select communities across the state, containing prizes such as tickets, gift cards, and team gear.
The helmets will be placed around Wisconsin on May 25, the day that marks 100 days until the 2023 season kicks off. 400 helmets will be divided up and placed in Burlington, Hudson, Madison, Mineral Point, Oshkosh, Sun Prairie, Verona, Waukesha and Wausau.
The scavenger hunt will go from 6 a.m. until about 8 a.m. Additional prizes will be given away on social media.
Last year, nearly 500 people claimed prizes from the 100 Days To Kickoff Scavenger Hunt.
