Hometown radio refreshed.

Civic Media is leaning into local radio to keep Wisconsin communities informed, entertained and connected.

Civic Media launched in 2022, and already covers most of Wisconsin.

We’re building a state-wide radio network that broadcasts local news, thoughtful commentary, and handpicked music–from the Sha to Richland Center and all the way up north. So hold on to your cheeseheads, because we’re just getting started.

Tune in to your community.

Our shows speak to the issues that matter to Wisconsinites, from the county board to high school football, from supper clubs to Lambeau Field, and everything in between. We believe radio plays an important role in strengthening our communities by focusing on what is happening here and now…in our everyday lives.

A fresh approach to find common ground.

It’s hard to ignore national headlines, where everything is framed in partisan terms: red/blue, left/right, black/white. These issues are important, but focusing too much on Washington deadlock makes us feel powerless, and distracts us from hometown problems we can actually solve. That’s why we are prioritizing local, regional, and state news and commentary–it’s our best opportunity to find common ground and revitalize our democracy.

C is for Civic.

If you want your buttons pushed with made up “facts,” dubious theories, and questionable truthiness, we might not be the ones for you… but give us a try anyway!  You may find the dialogue-based, respectful format of our shows a wee bit refreshing. Because we can disagree on the issues, but we all still believe in democracy—that’s why we made Civic our first name.

Radio for a digital world.

Broadcast, streaming, podcasts — the power of the spoken word now travels across many different channels, and we’ve covered them all.  From the car to your phone to your smart speaker, whether you’re listening live or catching up with the podcast, our shows go the distance.

“UpNorthNews with Pat Kreitlow” is Wisconsin’s new home for daily conversations about the state’s latest headlines and stories. It’s a radio extension of what UpNorthNews founding editor Pat Kreitlow premiered in January 2020 as a website, social media posts, and a daily newsletter—a place for fact-based news coverage that is informative, conversational, and not afraid to stand for something.

“Pursuing the truth wherever it may lead,” Todd Allbaugh offers a unique perspective on growing up in SW Wisconsin, 30 years in politics and government as a former Republican, and current events. With a self-described “mutt resume,” Todd’s done it all–from baling hay to hosting presidential visits, owning a coffee business to helping call a Final Four.  Join the conversation 8am-11am, M-F, on WRCE, WXCE, WXCO and streaming live on the Civic Media App.

The NEW Earl Ingram Show, where Earl has come home–with a bigger time slot and more guests than ever. Tune in weekdays at 8am-11am for news, happenings, and YOUR opinions.

As Goes Wisconsin with Kristin Brey is a daily radio show and digital media initiative that believes there is a fun, innovative, and uncomplicated way to talk about state and local politics while still celebrating all things Wisconsin

Keeping one train of thought is never easy. The Dueling Tangents with Luke & Bryan is sharing what we find important in the day’s headlines and connecting with the stories we believe people need to know. Get ready for a side story here and there… but we promise to share how its all relevant.

Matt Flynn – Direct is a no-holds-barred political conversation. Every afternoon, Matt shares his perspective as a former chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and decades of experience as an attorney in Milwaukee. Right, left, or center: Matt takes on all callers and remember, you’re not woke if you don’t know history.

He’s irreverent, boisterous and often provocative — but Mike Crute is always on top of the biggest stories of the day. Just remember, it’s never personal… only politics.
